Stepstone starts YouTube sitcom-format about working life and job applications

Digital recruiting platform The Stepstone Group is launching its own sitcom format on YouTube in Germany. The series, titled "Irgendwas mit Arbeit" ("Something about work") by Stepstone, centers around a slightly chaotic team looking for solutions to the problem of a shortage of skilled workers in their own company. It's about classic issues in everyday work, job hunting and job applications - from salary to work-life balance to health in the workplace. The whole thing is wrapped up in comedy and satire in collaboration with the YouTube agency "Klein aber".

Despite all the fun - each episode aims to provide (at least) one useful tip for everyday working life. In line with Stepstone's core mission to find the right job for everyone. The new web series is aimed at viewers between the ages of 18 and 28 who are actively looking for a job or interested in the world of work and careers. The episodes are broadcast exclusively on the company's own YouTube channel "Irgendwas mit Arbeit.""Irgendwas mit Arbeit" starts on November 25, 2023 - with the topic "Overtime".

"In today's dynamic working world, professional development is more important than ever before. Our new sitcom format aims to introduce people to the topic creatively - entertainingly, but also with tangible information," says Claus-Peter Heinrich, Senior Director Brand at The Stepstone Group. "The appropriate tools for a quick and successful job search and application are then provided by our platform."

"YouTube is therefore the ideal platform to present the Stepstone brand in an engaging and entertaining way. With recurring characters and a growing community, we want to encourage viewers to grab their next great job opportunity."

Benjamin Simon, Team Lead Video Creation & Social Media at The Stepstone Group, will appear as a permanent actor in the series. In addition, well-known personalities and other Stepstone employees will in the future appear in guest roles.
